  A lady in her mid 80's, who no longer drives, gave me approx 30 really good books, soft and hard back, for donating to an animal charity. I chose the RSPCA shop in Neath to take the books. Drove from Port Talbot at my own expense and inconvenience, but didn't mind a bit as it's an excellent cause and the RSPCA does brilliant work. In Neath, took books, held in container, from car and walked across car park to RSPCA shop. Container of books were quite heavy. When in shop was very quickly told by person in charge (manageress?) books not needed as they had plenty, and didn't even afford me the courtesy of looking at them or thanking me for bringing them. Was felt to look and feel really foolish in front of customers in the shop, and when having to leave with the books. Subsequently, I took books to another local animal charity who were very grateful indeed for them, even though they too had plenty of books laid out in their shop and in their shelf stock. Although the RSPCA and Llys Nini does excellent and valued work, I won't be wasting my time and money again taking anything to their Neath shop, while under current management.
